Core Team
John Berggren graduated from the Johns Hopkins University in 2007 with a B.A. in Public Health Studies and in 2009 with a
M.H.S. in Environmental Health. For the past year he has been working on Colorado River related projects with the Natural
Resource Law Center at the University of Colorado-Boulder.
Matt Clifford is the Policy Director for the
Carpe Diem - Western Water & Climate Change Project. Prior to joining Exloco in
September 2010, Matt practiced environmental law on behalf of non-profit organizations in the Northern Rockies. Matt served for
eight years as the Conservation Director and Staff Attorney for the Clark Fork Coalition in Missoula, Montana, where he worked on
a variety of issues related to water quality, water quantity, dam removal, and watershed-scale restoration of landscapes damaged
by mining waste. Matt serves on the national Board of Trout Unlimited. He is a 1995 graduate of the University of Montana School
of Law, and a 1988 graduate of Northern Arizona University. Matt enjoys fishing, hunting, hiking, and thinking Deep Thoughts on
long highway drives throughout the West.
Jennifer Corlett is Project Manager for the
Carpe Diem - Western Water & Climate Change Project. Prior to joining Exloco, she was
Corporate Communications Manager for the Rainforest Agribusiness Campaign at Rainforest Action Network. She received her B.S. at
the University of California, Berkeley, in Conservation & Resource Studies with an emphasis on global food systems and rural
development.
Mary Jean Haley has more than twenty-five years of consulting experience at the federal and state level, as well as for non-profits,
on project subjects that range from the environmental assessment of pesticide use in California, to the conservation of agricultural
genetic resources, and the development of alternate energy sources both in the United States and in Micronesia. She has contributed
to several Exloco reports and policy briefs and is the editor of the Carpe Diem Project newsletter
Confluence.
Kimery Wiltshire is CEO & President of Exloco as well as Director of the
Carpe Diem - Western Water & Climate Change Project. For
over twenty years, she has been recognized for her expertise and skill in developing strategic, solution-focused partnerships. She
is the former Director of the Kenney Foundation, where she worked on initiatives to protect and restore river systems in the western
United States. A bred, born and raised daughter of the American West, Kimery has to be reminded that occasionally important things
do happen east of the 100th meridian.
